The first literary work I read was "The Little Prince" of Antoint de Saint Exûpery I really liked it because it offered a variety of ideas which are very helpful in life, and how a person can act when facing a bad situation in love. I was born in Santa Ana, a city of El Salvador Republic. I grew up studying in a private school, and right there I knew I liked reading. I read some common tales, and I did not like them because I used to think they were very boring, but actually they were very incomprehensible for me because of the culture a kid has in this country. I began reading other works like "La Última Guinda" of Manlio Argueta, and some anthologies of women writers from El Salvador, and works related to the Civil Salvadorean War during the 80´s. I also read some works about science fiction, and some works in English, but the English ones were the most difficult due to understand some old words or idioms that I did not know; however, I liked them because they show a different perspective that Spanish works do not. I read a book related to succeed in life like "The 48 laws of power."
I have liked reading any kind of book. I have not had any specific genre. When having an oppotunity to read something, I have done it no mattering if it is eclesiastic, related to economy, social studies, success in life and other genres. I have just taken a book and read it.
